About Us

In 1986, Ahtna leaders established The Ahtna Heritage Foundation. The Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation focused on education.  While our primary focus is assisting Ahtna shareholders with their educational goals, we also provide opportunities for our shareholders and others to learn about the Ahtna people through cultural programs and our Cultural Center – C’ek’aedi Hwnax, which means “Legacy House” in the Ahtna language.
